Progress on the trough channel framing inside the Nereda reactors

NEW UPDATE PHOTOS: Wastewater Wednesdays!

Last week, we shared Integ-Crete Construction's aerial views of the final concrete pour of walls and decks being formed at the mainland treatment plant.

This week on Wastewater Wednesday we can see progress on the next concrete structures up for completion. Crews previously poured the lower slab for the chlorine contact chamber and have now begun forming the slab for the future sludge buffer and water level correction tanks. These structures work in unison with the AquaNereda reactors during the primary phases of treatment.

We can also see progress on the trough channel framing inside the Nereda reactors that will carry treated flows on to the next step of the process.

And finally we get a glimpse of the 36" underground discharge header pipe that will deliver treated wastewater from the reclaim storage tank to the deep injection wells for disposal.

FPUA is grateful for this project with industry leaders Globaltech, Inc., Haskell and Hazen, the site designers; TLC Diversified, Inc., re-routing the conveyance system to redirect wastewater flows away from the Indian River Lagoon; Kimley-Horn, the conveyance system designers, and the sub-contractors working so hard to keep this project on schedule.

We are also thankful for the partnership with the City of Fort Pierce in this infrastructure improvement effort that will benefit the Fort Pierce community for generations.

Thank you as always for your support and interest! We look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks!
