Updated aerial photos
NEW UPDATE PHOTOS: Wastewater Wednesdays!
Last week, we shared progress of concrete structures and the 36" underground discharge header pipe that will deliver treated wastewater from the reclaim storage tank to the deep injection wells for disposal.
This week on Wastewater Wednesday, updated aerial photos of the entire site show the breadth of progress made so far this year. The construction site is bustling - see if you can spot team members, trailers, and trucks peppered throughout the landscape of these photos.
Zooming in we can also see the interior of the Aqua Nereda treatment basins, and all exterior and interior concrete walls that are now complete. Moving forward with the Nereda basins, crews will now on focus framing and pouring the decking, channels, and overflow troughs of each tank.
Last but certainly not least, we are excited to share our first photo of a tank being filled - the reclaim storage tank is being filled and leak tested before its final paint job and completion next month. This beautiful image represents near completion for one of the major structures of the future MWRF.
FPUA is grateful for this project with industry leaders Globaltech, Inc., Haskell and Hazen, the site designers and build team; TLC Diversified, Inc., re-routing the conveyance system to redirect wastewater flows away from the Indian River Lagoon; Kimley-Horn, the conveyance system designers, and the sub-contractors working so hard to keep this project safe and on schedule.
We are also thankful for the partnership with the City of Fort Pierce in this infrastructure improvement effort that will benefit the Fort Pierce community for generations.
