Crews putting final touches on masonry walls

NEW UPDATE: Wastewater Wednesdays!

Last week, crews made solid progress across the site. The O&M building was prepped for its concrete roof pour, masonry walls were waterproofed in anticipation of veneer block installation, and the Nereda basins entered the hydraulic testing and sealing phase.

This week, the pace hasn’t slowed. Aerial shots reveal the evolving landscape around the Main Electrical and Blower Buildings, where crews are putting the final touches on masonry walls—setting the stage for the upcoming roof and slab work. On the O&M building, fresh photos capture the moment last week’s concrete roof pour took place. Now, attention has shifted to installing the membrane top layer, which will complete the roofing system and ensure long-term protection against the elements, including Florida’s toughest weather.

Progress is picking up speed across the site. Stay connected as we continue building toward completion with each passing week!

As always, we’d like to thank all of our partners, contractors, vendors, and crews who are helping us deliver this important project to our customers! FPUA is grateful for this project with industry leaders Globaltech, Inc., Haskell and Hazen, the site designers and build team; TLC Diversified, Inc., re-routing the conveyance system to redirect wastewater flows away from the Indian River Lagoon; Kimley-Horn, the conveyance system designers, and the sub-contractors working so hard to keep this project safe and on schedule.

We are also thankful for the partnership with the City of Fort Pierce in this infrastructure improvement effort that will benefit the Fort Pierce community for generations.
