Pipework connecting to treatment basins
NEW UPDATE PHOTOS: Wastewater Wednesdays!
Last week, we shared about progress on the deep injection well pump discharge piping system, the anticipated arrival of instrumentation and pouring the sludge thickener tank walls. Once finishing this structure, crews will wrap up the chlorine contact chamber.
In this week’s photos we can see some great new progress on some of the pipework that will connect the treatment basins to the upstream and downstream flows of the plant once it's completed!
Also, after some much-needed dry weather this past week, progress continues on the slab framing of the operation and maintenance building. Two big concrete pours for this foundation are scheduled in the coming weeks. And finally, we can see the in-and-under pipework and encasements that will feed the headworks of the MWRF. This structure will be the first stop for the raw sewage as it begins the treatment process and transforms into high quality reclaim water!
