Masonry crews making strides on Operations and Maintenance building

NEW UPDATE PHOTOS: Wastewater Wednesdays!

Last week, major progress was made! Piping and instrumentation were connected to deep injection wells, and large influent and effluent pipes were installed at the Nereda basins and pump station. Electrical crews prepped conduits for slab pours, while exterior work on the O&M building wrapped up, paving the way for interior construction.

This week, significant progress can be seen across several key areas of the project. Masonry crews are making strides on the Operations and Maintenance building, with work advancing rapidly on the maintenance bays. The reclaim storage tank now proudly displays its final coat of paint, marking it as the first officially completed structure of the project. This milestone sets the stage for the completion of additional process tanks and plant components in the coming months.

To highlight this week’s progress, we’re excited to share a dramatic new aerial view of the job site, offering a clear perspective on how far the project has come. Each milestone reflects the dedication of our crews and the ongoing effort to deliver sustainable and reliable infrastructure for our community. FPUA is grateful for this project with industry leaders Globaltech, Inc., Haskell and Hazen, the site designers and build team; TLC Diversified, Inc., re-routing the conveyance system to redirect wastewater flows away from the Indian River Lagoon; Kimley-Horn, the conveyance system designers, and the sub-contractors working so hard to keep this project safe and on schedule.

We are also thankful for the partnership with the City of Fort Pierce in this infrastructure improvement effort that will benefit the Fort Pierce community for generations.
