42-inch blind flange installed in the Nereda reactor wall
NEW UPDATE PHOTOS: Wastewater Wednesdays!
Last week significant progress was made across the site, including the completion of concrete work on the Aqua Nereda basins and sludge buffer tanks, preparation of 42-inch influent lines for future connections, and the installation of second-floor decking on the Operations and Maintenance building.
This week construction activities are advancing steadily. Crews are now focused on first-floor interior framing for the Operations and Maintenance building, while finalizing walls and slab work for the maintenance bays. Electrical teams are progressing with the installation of conduits and high-voltage ducts in the Main Electrical Building, laying the groundwork for the upcoming slab pour and vertical construction. Additionally, a 42-inch blind flange was installed in the Nereda reactor wall, showcasing the scale and precision of the infrastructure being implemented. These efforts mark another week of strong progress toward project completion.
FPUA is grateful for this project with industry leaders Globaltech, Inc., Haskell and Hazen, the site designers and build team; TLC Diversified, Inc.,re-routing the conveyance system to redirect wastewater flows away from the Indian River Lagoon; Kimley-Horn, the conveyance system designers, and the sub-contractors working so hard to keep this project safe and on schedule.
We are also thankful for the partnership with the City of Fort Pierce in this infrastructure improvement effort that will benefit the Fort Pierce community for generations.
